How Europe is coming together to build a new standard for accessible sport.
On paper, QIS – All In is a collaboration of eight partners, five countries, and more than 50 sports facilities.
In reality, it’s a collection of people, experiences, and honest conversations that give the project its heart.
Partners include Paralympic committees, accessibility experts, architects, sports organisations, researchers, regional authorities, and community foundations. Each brings different expertise — but also something more personal: stories of athletes, families and everyday users whose lives have been shaped by inaccessible environments.
A Human Project Behind a Technical Framework
During meetings, someone will mention an athlete who gave up their sport because the changing room wasn’t accessible.
Someone else shares how adding contrast stripes to stair edges changed a whole centre’s safety.
We talk about door widths, signage, digital tools — but what we’re really designing for is people.
QIS – All In is built through:
- Research led by accessibility and Paralympic experts
- Pilot testing in real sports facilities across Europe
- Digital development of a platform that guides organisations
- Creation of a Certification Framework developed with public institutions
- Communication and awareness led by EMCA and HAŠK Mladost
- Ground-level insights from community organisations such as APCAS
- Strategic support from the European Paralympic Committee and inclusion specialists like ColorAdd
What We’re Trying to Change
Not just buildings, but mindsets.
Not just regulations, but experiences.
Not just awareness, but behaviour.
QIS – All In is building:
- a European quality standard for sports accessibility
- a certification model (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- free, multilingual tools
- education for staff and managers
- a community that believes in inclusion by design
Why It Matters
Because accessibility isn’t a technical task.
It’s a value.
It’s how we show respect.
It’s how we say: You belong here.
And at its core, QIS – All In is a project about belonging.
Together, we’re shaping a new vision for sport in Europe — one where every person can enter, participate and feel part of the game.
