Quality Inclusiveness in Sport: Building Accessible Sports Facilities for All

πŸ“… 3 June 2027
πŸ“ Madrid, Spain
πŸ•˜ Morning Session
πŸ’» Hybrid Event – In-person & Online Participation

The QIS – All In (Quality Indicators for Sport Accessibility and Inclusion) consortium is pleased to invite sport organisations, facility managers, policymakers, accessibility experts, public authorities, athletes, and all interested stakeholders to save the date for the project’s Final Conference, taking place on 3 June 2027 in Madrid, Spain.

Over the past two and a half years, QIS – All In has been working to develop a European framework for assessing and improving accessibility in sports facilities. Through research, stakeholder engagement, pilot testing and collaboration across five countries, the project aims to support sport organisations in creating environments where everyone can participate, regardless of ability.

The conference will present the project’s key results, including:

  • The QIS Inclusiveness Quality Certification Framework
  • Accessibility evaluation and self-assessment tools
  • Educational resources and training materials
  • Good practices collected from across Europe
  • Experiences and lessons learned from pilot testing
  • Recommendations for sport organisations, facility managers and policymakers

Accessibility is not only about removing barriers β€” it is about creating opportunities, promoting participation, and ensuring that sport is truly open to all.

To make the event accessible to the widest possible audience, the conference will be organised in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join either in person or online. Participation will be free of charge for both formats.
